If you're on a night out, but suddenly find yourself feeling unsafe and without the cash to get back home, then don't panic.  Here at your Students' Union we've always got your back!  No matter where you are in Birmingham, you can make emergency bookings with A2B cars and they will pick you up and make sure you get home safely!  All you need to do is follow these simple steps:

  1. Phone 0121 430 7000 for A2B Birmingham quoting Birmingham City University Students’ Union Safe Taxi Scheme
  2. As soon as your taxi arrives, show your student ID card to the driver to check your booking details
  3. Take the receipt you will be given upon arrival to your destination
  4. Visit the ASK desk on campus (Curzon Building in the City Centre, Seacole Building at City South and Baker Building at City North) and pay the price of your taxi fare within five days

PLEASE NOTE: Failure to settle the outstanding amount for the taxi fare will result in blocking the access to University!

About the scheme:

The Safe Taxi Scheme was launched as a partnership between Birmingham City University University Students' Union and A2B Radio Cars in 2016. The scheme was initiated to help students get home safely on nights out. The scheme has continued to grow over the last year with increased promotion during September and October every year when new students arrive in Birmingham.

Terms and Conditions:

  • The scheme is available 24 hours per day
  • There is a maximum allowance of £20 on the account and max 4 students are to travel at any given time
  • The drop off point must be a student residential address, Halls of Residence, Police Station or Hospital
  • This offer only applies with A2B Radio Cars and no other taxi company
