BCUSU presents...

A festive celebration for all students

Studying at Uni is difficult at the best of times, let alone during a pandemic or a national lockdown. Despite this, we hope you had a memorable start to the academic year, for all the right reasons!

To help you through the month we’re planning loads of fun events for you to get involved with including: Game Nights every Thursday (Among Us, Draw Something), Craft and Cooking Tutorials, Film Nights, competitions and more.

Support

If you have found it difficult, that’s okay. We’re here for you. BCUSU and the University have a number of facilities that can help through your time with us: The Centre for Academic Success can help you with your essay writing; Graduate+ can help you gain the essential skills to get closer to your dream career; and our Advice Centre can help with any issues related to academia, money and housing. For more info visit the BCU website.

The University's Disability Support Team are still available and providing support. For information, to contact or to book a drop-in session, see Disability Support on iCity.

We want you to know that The University’s Mental Health and Wellbeing Team can help you take care of your mental health through December and beyond. Also, you can access 24/7 Mental Health support at Togetherall – an anonymous community you can join for free: togetherall.com.

The laptop loan service in Curzon will still be available over the Christmas period, however the process for returning the device will be different. From Thursday 24 December – you will need to return any laptop you loan to the locker that you loaned them from. Please remember that laptops can only be loaned for a 5 hour period and must not be taken from site.
